| **LNB - Low Noise Block** | KU LNB Dual LO | - Single Output | ![image](media://22b0eef0-f0e0-4a7c-93db-f4d6cdc70d70) | An LNB - Low Noise Block is used for communications (broadcast) satellite reception. The LNB is usually affixed either in or on the satellite dish and its purpose is to collect and amplify the satellite signal received from the dish and then down convert the signal to lower more manageable IF frequency which can then be carried over standard coaxial cabling to the receiver(decoder or TV). |
| Input frequency range | - Low band - **10.7** - 11.70 GHz
- High band - 11.7 - **12.75** GHz |
| Output frequency range | - Low band - **950** - 1950 MHz
- High band - 1100 - **2150** MHz |
| Local oscillator - LO frequency | - Low band - 9.75 GHz
- High band - 10.6 GHz |
| Conversion Gain | - >36.67 dB |
| Noise | - <2 dB |
| LNB Supply Voltage | - VerticalPolarization - 13VDC
- Horizontal Polarization - 18VDC |

- Long axle - 65 cm | ![image](media://d21102b8-24d6-4af2-b699-f1ead350a176) | A satellite dish is a telecommunications device used to send and receive microwave signals. It is a parabolic shaped antenna used for data transmission and broadcasting.
The primary function of a satellite dish is to convert microwave signals into electric signals that can be used by a television. The low-frequency signals can be received by the larger dishes, whereas small dishes are used for higher frequency signals. |
| Focal distance | - 39 cm |

| Supporting Devices | - Satellite finder | ![image](media://f6861e36-166d-40cb-9a92-07aa3f41d9bf) | The satellite finder helps to align your satellite dish. Based on your location and the selected satellite the finder shows you the horizontal and vertical direction in which you have to align your satellite dish. |
| Tools | - Spanner (number 10 or 12)
- Hammer
- Pliers and wall nuts
- Cable stripper
- Spirit level | ![image](media://9c6bfef1-a6c5-4d75-a672-bca65511d283) | |
| **Installation** | - Identify a suitable location for the installation of the antenna
- The location should be secure and free from any direction obstruction
- Mount the arm of the antenna on a strong base using wall-nuts or nails
- Use the spirit level to ensure its mounted upright
- Then mount the two supporting arms of the antenna
- Ensure the two supporting arms are also mounted on a strong base
- Place the dish on the mount and screw it as instructed
- Ensure the mount is very firm and not have any shakes
- Fix the LNB at the focal position of the dish, on the top part of the arm where signals received are concentrated.
- Connect the signal finder to the LNB, and then adjust the dish to the recommended direction until the best signal strength is received.
- When the best strength and quality is achieved, fasten the bolts firmly using the spanner.
- Lay the cable with wall clips to secure it
- Connect the cable to the receiver on the right port
- Start the scanning process to receive channels beamed from the satellite | ![image](media://b1b01bbf-1912-455c-9e46-0bbfe949d2b5)
![image](media://cbb95321-e5de-4264-9ca4-f52bd41b8555) | ![image](media://41e0d36d-8d4b-4164-97c1-3defec964f42)
![image](media://1e5cea18-1e7d-42d1-899b-5a99c06ea46e) |
